    I thought I should put this topic to the site "About Me" , but it's definitely about my breeding plans.

When I got my first sightound - Azawakh I never thought before that it will be long relationship betwen me and dogs. But I observed how another kennels devloping with their own ideas for breedeing. I heara lot, see a lot, listen a lot and finnaly I found my own idea for my own kennel.

For the first I want to thanks my breeders for gave me their puppies,trust, and their own advices for breeding.

I thought a lot about breeding plans and genepools in breeds where I am involve. Saluki and Azawakh are very specifc, begin from health and finish of feeding. I'm not so long in both breeda but I see how hard is to find health dog especially in Saluki. There are a lot of rumors in every lines. My breeding goals are to have health, typical dogs. I decided to focus on: Saluki with show line with classic type (also useful) and only useful dogs ; with Azawakhs to find health,stright form ( because till now I can't say that we have types in Azawakhs , but for sure we can see what kind of dogs are on the first places on dog shows, what do not mean they are the best in respect of health or inbreed conbination).
 
The very important for me is a genepool, COI, so with a first litter (of Azawakhs) I choose a male who is a half-african-blood dog. His mother is imported from Africa. As I said it's important for me and with this matching I will have COI 4,10% which is low in this breed. I accept inbreeding in Azawakh's only to 6% and I would like to make another combinations in 0-6%. Another thing I need to respect is an azawakh anathomy and I will focus on this too. Because in Azawakh we don't hear about dog's illnes then I will  make as possibility as I can a health tests for them.

The same thing - COI - I want to use in Saluki, that's why my first female I imported from Japan with blood not so much simmilar to European bloods. Following of her breeder's advices I want to go on classic type, because just for me sharing dogs for types should not exist with fact that we have one stadards (unforunately everyone translate it for themselvs) then I could back to ancient form (what obviously could be difficult, but I believe that with time everything will be fine) but with a litlle show type, but different than popular scandinavian type. Another thing is a typical useful type ( I could say ancient form), so I decided to join a preservation programm for Salukis in their Country Of Origin. I will try to do the same with Azawakhs, but for now I don't have so much possibilities. Back to Saluki, the things I want to fix is COI , helth , hair , pigment. Of course there is no dog on the world witch will be perfect, but follows a present stadards and respect old standards I will try to be closer to this what I want to achiev.

I hope that in future when I will have more experience I could write here more things, my thoughts and another ideas, because I believe that with experience the point of view on breeds will change, but of breeders will focus only on money and famous we will change nothng, or we will do it but with very small steps.

I'm not afraid of using dogs with little COI or half-imports, I believe that with these things I could develope breeds in a good way. My breedeing plan goes a long way and with lucky will not change.

Have an Azawakh and Saluk is more for me than just only have, admire and breed.
